    At the courthouse we file the forms by giving the original and the copies to the clerk.
    The clerk will issue a case number and a court date, and stamp the forms. The  clerk will keep the original and return the copies . (1) copy for the perspective  conservator, the other  copies for  the adult, their relatives, and the regional center.

    Gayle Gordon is the Chief Executive Officer of Empower Training Institute (ETI), a human services organization dedicated to advocacy, prevention, intervention, and family enrichment. Guided by the motto "We train to Empower," ETI offers training and workshops that support families across Los Angeles County, in partnership with a wide network of community-based organizations and agencies.

    Gayle is an accomplished advocate, author, and trainer, with a distinguished career that spans decades in public service. A proud retiree of both the County of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Unified School District, she brings deep experience in education, community empowerment, and human development.

    She holds a Master of Arts in Education from the Graduate School of Education and Psychology at Pepperdine University, and also earned a Designated Subjects Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

    Throughout her career, Gayle has been a passionate leader in facilitating workshops and trainings using diverse learning modalities. She has presented across the Los Angeles Community College District, including West Los Angeles College, Southwest College, El Camino College, Los Angeles Trade Technical College, and Rio Hondo College. Since 2005, she has also provided impactful programs and instruction for Los Angeles Unified School District’s staff, students, and families.

    In addition to her professional work, Gayle has consistently volunteered and collaborated with community-based organizations to further her mission of holistic empowerment. She is known for her visionary approach and her unwavering dedication to providing individuals and families with the knowledge and tools to thrive.

    Kevin Sheppard – Entrepreneur | Business Mentor | Financial Strategist

    Kevin Sheppard is a professionally trained expert in real estate, sales, financial management, and marketing. He is the co-owner of A & K Vending Services and Flash Photo Booth LLC, businesses he runs alongside his wife. Together, they have built a strong foundation in entrepreneurship through hands-on experience and strategic growth.

    With a passion for helping others succeed, Kevin works with companies, corporations, and individuals to improve their vending services, while also mentoring new vending machine business owners. His goal is to launch a dedicated training program to support and educate aspiring entrepreneurs in the vending industry.
